Help and Support

If your Quadro has been lost or damaged, you can get a free, instant replacement by simply IMing Shopkeeper Sideways (a bot) and asking for a replacement.

If you have read the instructions below and are still having trouble, you can submit a support ticket by clicking
here.

Quick Start

1) Drag the HUD from your inventory onto your Avi - the HUD will reset for new owner and ask you which Viewer version you are using (Viewer 3 is the current one). It will then ask if you are using the Favorites bar (click 'Default' if you are not sure). You will start dancing!

The following only applies to the Full version, and is not available on Lite version:

The Default Sequence will be automatically generated using the first 20 animations found inside your HUD.

2) To chose a different Sequence, click the Menu button and select 'Load Sequence' from the drop down menu - you can then select a different Sequence.

Adding or Removing dances

1) If you are wearing your HUD, turn it off and detach it.

2) Drag the HUD from your inventory onto the ground nearby. Be careful here, as it is quite small, and could easily be lost.

3) Right click then 'Edit' the HUD. Click the 'content' tab on the edit dialog that appears. Note, if you cannot see a 'Content' tab, click the button labelled 'More'.

4) The content tab shows a list of everything in the HUD. Drag and drop dances from your inventory onto the list.

5) Right click your HUD, and chose 'Take' from the menu. The HUD is now in your inventory, ready to be worn.

The Tab and Buttons

The HUD menu and buttons can be minimised to save screen clutter using the tab with the Animazoo logo. Simply click the tab to show / hide the buttons and menu.

The button's functions are (from left to right):

         ~ Next dance
         ~ Previous dance
         ~ Menu show / hide
         ~ Power on / off

Main Menu Item: Dancers (Not available on Lite version)

The Dancer Options menu allows you to invite or stop already invited dancers.

Clicking 'Invite dancer' will give a menu of nearby avis who are not already dancing with you.

Clicking 'Stop dancer' will present you with a list of avis who are dancing with you so you can chose who to stop dancing.

Invited Avis can also stop themselves from dancing by typing '/99stop' in chat.

You can return to the main menu by clicking the small arrow at the bottom of the menu.

You can close the menu by clicking the small 'x' at the bottom of the menu, or by clicking the menu button at the top.

Main Menu Item: Edit Sequence (Not available on Lite version)

The Edit Sequence menu displays a list of all the dances in the currently selected Sequence. It also allows you to change the order of the dances in the playlist and to enable or disable dances.

To change the order of the dances in the Playlist, simply drag and drop them up or down, one position at a time. To enable / disable a dance, simply click the checkbox to the left of the dance name.

You can return to the main menu by clicking the small arrow at the bottom of the menu.

You can close the menu by clicking the small 'x' at the bottom of the menu, or by clicking the menu button at the top.

Main Menu Item: Load Sequence (Not available on Lite version)

The Load Sequence menu allows you to select a predefined dance Sequence.

Dance Sequences are defined within the 'Sequences' notecard found inside the HUD. Sequences can be selected from the Sequences menu. If the Sequences notecard has been updated the list can be refreshed by clicking the 'Update Sequences List' menu item.

You can return to the main menu by clicking the small arrow at the bottom of the menu.

You can close the menu by clicking the small 'x' at the bottom of the menu, or by clicking the menu button at the top.

Main Menu Item: Settings

The Settings menu gives you the following options:

           read from the Sequences notecard

~ Change Viewer: Select your viewer type for optimum display

~ Messages: Turn on and off status messages appearing in chat

~ UI Sounds: Turn on and off the sounds made when you click buttons

         ~ Reset: Reset the HUD

Warning! Resetting the HUD will reset any Playlist changes you have made and will reset the Default Sequence.

Main Menu Item: Help

Clicking the Help menu item will bring up a dialog inviting you to open this web page. Simply click 'Go to page' to display the Help pages.

Creating your own Sequences (Not available on Lite version)

You can create your own dance Sequences by editing the 'Sequences' notecard found inside the HUD. Then you can use the HUD to load new Sequences.

Note: Any dances listed in the Sequences notecard must be copied from your inventory into the HUD. See 'Adding or removing dances' above for more details on how to do this.

Here's an example Sequence, as found in the notecard:

[ Example Dance ]Salacious:29.75|Crisscross:28.083

The part in brackets ([ ]) is the Sequence name. This is the name that will appear in the Load Sequence menu. There is a limit of 18 Sequences. Any Sequences defined after the first 18 will be ignored.

After the name of the Sequence, you just put the name of the dance followed by the amount of time you want it to play. So the above Sequence is called Example Dance, and it plays Salacious for 29.75 seconds, then it plays Crisscross for 20.083 seconds, then it plays Salacious again, etc. The exact length of Animazoo dances can be found in the dance properties (to see the dance properties, right click on the dance in your inventory and click 'Properties').

A dance can also be set to never change. To do this, simply type NEVER for the amount of time for that dance.

Full Version Limitations

A Sequence can only hold a maximum of 20 dances.

The HUD menu displays a maximum of 19 Sequences (including the Default Sequence).

Notecard lines are limited to 255 characters, so all Sequences must be defined using less than 255 characters. The Sequence will not load properly if it's longer than 255 characters

FAQ

Q: Can I use dances from any animation maker in the Quadro?
A: Yes. In fact, you can use any SL animations you like.

Q: How can I find out the name of the currently playing Sequence?
A: To find out the name of the currently playing Sequence, click the green menu header in the 'Edit Sequence' menu. The name of the currently playing Sequence will appear in chat.

Known Issues

The HUD cannot load Sequences from the notecard if the Sequence is longer than 255 characters. Please see Full Version Limitations above for more details.

The HUD is unable to stop a dance from playing if the dance has been removed from HUD inventory. For this reason, it's recommended that the HUD is turned off before adding or removing dances from the HUD inventory.

Very occasionally, the HUD menu will fail to display. This is an SL bug. If this occurs, simply press the menu button twice to display properly.

If two copies of the HUD (Full and / or Lite versions) are worn together at the same time in the same place problems will occur. Only one copy of the HUD should be worn in the top right hand corner at a time.
